· Responsible for all day to day business other than bookkeeping. This included: design concepts and space planning, custom furniture design/sketches, lighting design, researching/sourcing products, developing proposals, creating POs, working with clients, vendors, architects, contractors, bookkeeper, and finding new opportunities. Project load ranged from 3 to 18 clients at a time.

· Specialized in Kitchens and Bathrooms and overall renovations. Was responsible for all aspects of projects' interior design, planning, and management. · Worked as a Lighting and Compositing artist, including all technical shot set-up necessary for the render pipeline.
· Was also put on special assignment working with the Completion Supervisor, Rendering team, and IT department to optimize rendering quality and performance to get the film back on schedule. Example: I effectively reduced overall render time by approximately 1/3 by collaborating on a Mel script to work around a major render layer/shadow bug in the Maya software application.
· At the request of my co-workers, I conducted lighting, shader building, rendering, and optimization training for the studio's Lighting, Rendering, and Effects teams. This helped solve many of the shadow rendering problems the studio was experiencing.
· Was immediately hired out of school when I sent my Demo Reel on a roll of toilet paper... as my "Demo ROLL" (carefully handmade, it had packaging that read "for the busy hiring manager"). Evidently, they appreciated my sense of humor.
· Designed and wrote the published book Learning Maya: Rendering. Taught this material world-wide at film production studios, game development studios, and training centers. Consistently achieved high ratings on customer evaluations.
· Co-wrote and edited the published book The Art Of Maya.
· Conceived of and co-wrote the Exploring Advanced Shading Networks (training) DVD. Later presented it as a Master Class at 3December Los Angeles.
· Worked extensively with the software development team as a relentless champion of the Maya user, resulting in many new features and improved usability in Maya.
· Was invited by Pixar to beta-test their Renderman integration with Maya.
· Initiated and co-developed 10 new procedural textures (using Maya’s API) based on existing Pixar Renderman examples.
· Conducted custom consulting for Alias|Wavefront Inc. world-wide in the entertainment production realms of feature film and games development.
· Demonstrated new software features with the engineering team at Applications Engineers global conferences.
· Accreditor for Instructor Certification training and evaluation, both internally and externally, worldwide
